WhatsApp introduces the capability to share stickers in channels

WhatsApp has announced that its channels feature has surpassed 500 million active users, and the app is now focusing on enhancing user experience by introducing new features.

According to a report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out a feature that enables users to share stickers within channels.

This functionality is currently available for iOS beta testers, requiring users to install version 23.24.10.72 for access. The sticker-sharing ability is visible within the chat bar, and the latest version of the application supports the sending of animated stickers, adding a dynamic element to engagement within channels.

WhatsApp introduced the Channels feature in India in June, serving as a one-way broadcasting tool that allows administrators to send various content, including text messages, photos, videos, stickers, and polls.

Channel creators have the flexibility to customize and personalize the content associated with their WhatsApp channel.

Additionally, WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is working on a feature to discreetly hide locked chats in a forthcoming app update. Currently, the access point for locked chats is visible in the chat list, potentially revealing their presence even if not readily accessible.

The upcoming feature will allow users to conceal this access point, requiring the entry of a secret code in the search bar to access locked chats, enhancing privacy and security for users looking to safeguard confidential conversations.
