However, the 5G testbed has been developed as a multi-institutional collaborative with the help of IIT Madras.

The 5G testbed was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 May 2022. This will enable the companies and startups in India to test their products in the country. And there will be no more dependency to validate their products by dependency on foreign facilities. However, this will help enterprises and all other companies that would need this facility for them.

Speaking further he said that. This newly launched 5G network will help the companies and make the country self-reliant. This is peculiar for the country to have such technology. He disseminated the message. All this at the silver jubilee celebration of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

The setting up of the 5G testbed has cost around 220 crores.

“I invite youth friends, researchers and companies to utilize the testing facility for making 5G technology,” PM Modi said.

Though, this has eliminated the issues that companies were facing before validating their products by going foreign and then doing all this validation. But now they do not have to do all this at all by going to the foreign. This can be done locally now.

However, there were other institutions as well that joined this. And they all were IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IISC Bangalore, IIT Hyderabad, Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER) and Center of Excellence in Wireless Technology (CEWiT). Moreover, it has been said that the 5G technology will be available in the 05 different locations.

So, this is clear that the 5G technology will help the telecommunication companies a lot and provide them with a plethora of advantages. Where the companies come up with all such tools of growing technology. This opens the doors for the people that are looking for a job. As different sectors will grow this will help in employing and helping the country in multiple ways. This step towards the new technology will help a lot and provide a plethora of opportunities.
