Google has recently released a new application which will apparently allow mobile users to search for their daily needs. A recently conducted study reveals that while 500 million Indian users would access Internet on their laptops, 490 million would use their smartphones for it. In 2014, the numbers were 300 million and 150 million on desktops and smartphones respectively.
“With more Indians using smartphones for online access, our new product Google House helps them search maps, photos, translate and use YouTube apps on mobile devices,” confirms Sandeep Menon, marketing director, Google India.
By adding seven million users on mobile Internet every month, India experiences highest penetration of Internet services after China. Thanks to the increased usage of mobile phone which has created a smartphone revolution in India. Today, mobile phones are not only used for voice calls and messages but for a plethora of needs like news, photos, maps, e-mails as well as social networking.
Google has also brought various mobile-friendly applications to woo its fans. While Google Translate helps users to overcome the language barrier, Google Photos application keeps the back-up of photos and videos across all mobile devices automatically. Similarly, Google Now updates bring information on everything for its users.
