Acer Earns CES “Best of Innovation” Award with Top Prize for Computer Peripherals

Acer has announced that it has earned three CES 2017 Innovation awards for its monitors and notebooks, including the top prize in the acer-logocomputer peripherals category with a “Best of Innovation” award for its Predator Z301CT gaming monitor. It was also named an “Honoree” twice in the computer hardware and components category for its Swift 7, the world’s thinnest notebook as well as the Spin 7, the world’s thinnest convertible notebook, judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics across 28 product categories.

The Best of Innovation award for the Predator Z301CT monitor means that the judges deemed it to be the most impressive technology in the computer peripherals category and that it scored higher than all other entries. The Predator Z301CT is the world’s first 21:9 curved monitor with eye-tracking functionality, adding monitor’s eye-tracking technology to its features. Other key features include a 30-inch 1800R curved ultra-wide full HD 2560×1080 screen, stutter-free visuals with NVIDIA G-Sync technology, a rapid 200Hz refresh rate, fast 4ms response time and 178-degree viewing angles.

The Acer Swift 7, the world’s thinnest notebook, was selected as a CES 2017 Innovation Honoree in the computer hardware and components category. It measures less than 1cm thin (0.39 inches) and weighs 2.48 pounds, and up to 9 hours of battery life. It offers an elegant, all-aluminum uni-body design with Corning Gorilla Glass. Its gold inner surface contrasts with a matte black exterior, while an extra wide Precision Touchpad with chamfered diamond-cut effects provides modern, luxurious aesthetics.

The Acer Spin 7, the world’s thinnest convertible notebook, has 13-inch all-aluminum uni-body houses a 14-inch Full HD IPS Corning Gorilla Glass touch screen display with a narrow bezel. The convertible notebook offers up to 8 hours of battery life, is just 0.43 inches thin and weighs only 2.6 pounds with a 360-degree hinge with four different usage modes.

The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM, the producer of CES 2017, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976. CES 2017 Innovation Honoree products are featured on CES.tech/Innovation, which lists product categories, as well as each product name, manufacturer information, description, photo and URL.

The Acer Swift 7 will soon hit the Indian retail stores and ecommerce websites along with other newly launched products.
