Diwali came early for the employees of the tech giant HCL Technologies on Monday. The company crossed the milestone of $10 billion in revenue for the year 2020 and the management decided to reward its employees with Rs.700 crore.

With over 159,000 employees in 50 countries, HCL Technologies is one of the major IT companies in the world.

While most businesses were adversely affected in the year that was marked with Corona HCL Technologies of India strategized the business processes to go on as usual. The company management feels that the company is blessed to survive the adversity of the pandemic. Additionally, it also helped other organizations to survive and thrive in the duration. The management feels thankful for the opportunities and the hard-working human resource at the organization.

Apparao VV, Chief HR Officer, HCL Technologies expressed gratitude towards the employees – “Our employees are our most valuable asset. The company decided to reward employees with a bonus equivalent to 10 days’ salary. This will be credited with the salary in the month of February 2021. All the employees across all the locations in the world will with service of one year or more receive this reward. The total amount will be equivalent to $90 million approximately.

It is interesting to note that the Net Income of the technology company based in Noida increased by 20% in the calendar year 2020. It amounts to $1.78 billion. No wonder HCL is one of the top ten valued companies in India with Reliance, HDFC Bank, and Infosys. The share prices of HCL also surged 1% in a day after the details were announced.
