Xioami Redmi Pro 2 smartphone’s price leaked online

Xiaomi is rumoured to soon launch a new smartphone – Redmi Pro 2. A new report about the handset has now surfaced online, hinting at its price.
According to the report by MyDrivers website, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 has been listed on online retail site Taobao at a price of CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 15,000). On the other hand, its higher version has been listed at a price of CNY 1,799 (about Rs 16,900).
Earlier reports have suggested that the company will be launching two variants of Redmi Pro 2. The premium model will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while the lower-end variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to have a 5.5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will likely have a MediaTek chipset and a 4,050mAh battery.
Xiaomi recently confirmed that it will launch its flagship Mi 6 smartphone(s) this month. The company also posted a teaser online, revealing the smartphone’s launch date.
“203-day wait for you since our #Mi5s launch, 7 years for Mi. #Mi6 is a guaranteed performance beast. Can’t wait to show you what’s to come!”, reads the tweet accompanying the teaser.
The image shared on Twitter shows the number ‘6’ and confirms April 19 as the handset’s launch date in Xiaomi’s home country of China. The company’s VP and managing director of India Manu Kumar Jain also retweeted the post. However, there is no word on the Mi 6’s India launch.
According to a post on Chinese social networking website Weibo, Xiaomi Mi 6 will come in two variants based on internal storage. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage version will be priced around CNY 2199 (Rs 20,500), while the 4GB RAM/128GB storage version will cost about CNY 2599 (Rs 23,340).
