Unity has released Unity Muse, an AI suite designed for game development that employs generative capabilities

Unity has launched its Muse AI platform for early access, offering AI-driven tools to simplify game development, particularly for those less inclined towards extensive coding.

Priced at $30 per month, Muse initially focuses on texture and sprite generation and will expand to include animation and coding functionalities.

One of its features is a chatbot that assists users with obtaining usable code, drawing from the platform’s resource library.

Muse also includes tools for automatic generation of 2D sprites based on predefined parameters, catering especially to Metroidvania game designers.

The platform assures compliance with copyright laws, emphasizing that the results won’t contain recognizable artistic styles, logos, or people.

AI for animation and behavior is expected to be introduced in the future, providing support for character animation and NPC behaviors without coding.

Subscribers to Muse gain access to Sketch, a platform for rapid prototyping and collaboration. Additionally, Unity offers Sentis, an open beta AI tool enabling developers to integrate intricate AI data models into Unity Runtime for creating unique gameplay experiences and features.
