An exclusive interview with IT.Voice Mr. V.K.Bhandari- Managing Director of Supertron Electronics, reveals his strategies for business in India.
Vikas Gupta:- What are the opportunity and Challenges in 2019 for Technology business?
Mr. V.K. Bhandari:- With the new & stable Govt. in place , we see there would be opportunity in Govt. & Corporate space. All the Govt initiatives such as smart city, make in India, Digital India etc. will further be strengthen & there by increased opportunity for IT. We see challenges in consumer segment where the consumer spending toward IT has not seen to that extent & possibly we expect to see better traction during festive season ahead.
Vikas Gupta:- What are the marketing strategies of the Supertron?
Mr. V.K. Bhandari :- Marketing plays an important role for all Sales organization & we keep our strategy in and around channel partner. We work closely with all our vendor to promote the products within channel community. We focus on activating new partners & educating partners on product & positioning front. We do road shows, channel promotion activities to keep partners engaged. We are very much active in digital platform to promote related products. Channel training is also an important part of our approach.
Vikas Gupta:- What is SupertronIndia’s roadmap for 2019-20?
Mr. V.K. Bhandari :- This year we expect to grow more than industry. We drive our growth both organically & inorganically. Our value added approach both in consumer & commercial space is going to be key focus area. We act as extended arms of vendors & believe in creating biz. Opportunity for brands we get associated with by reaching out to Tier 2 and 3 locations, geographies that were traditionally marked by increased incomes but relative under-supply of contemporary IT products. Focusing in B2B space apart from product supply we would be focusing on solution selling through our wide network of SI partners.
Vikas Gupta:- What is your channel policy in India? What kind of channel expansion are you looking for in the near future?
Mr. V.K. Bhandari :- We are very channel friendly & channel oriented organization. We support channel partners to grow along with us. Our drive is to support & help partners to reach out to more & more partners within respective geography.
Vikas Gupta:- What is your growth strategy here? What are the engines of growth for Supertron in India?
Mr. V.K. Bhandari :- We have our holistic approach in all segments of the biz. with right investment & optimum utilization of resources. We are further strengthening our approach in B2B space & solution selling which would eventually take us to newer heights. Our strong hold in consumer space is going to be further strengthen through organic & inorganic growth approach. E-commerce biz. for us has seen growth opportunity which we will continue to focus a separate vertical.
