Samsung India is hosting an event for the launch of Galaxy S6 and 
Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones in India today. the smartphones are Set to go on sale only on April 10. In the meantime, Flipkart too has got onto the teaser bandwagon with its latest Facebook post.
The Facebook post made by Flipkart shows the sides of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the caption states ‘What’s next?’. This teaser is an indication that Samsung’s latest flagship phones will be sold via the online retailer.
Samsung India is hosting an event for the launch of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones in India today. Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge were unveiled in Mobile World Congress earlier this month. Samsung seems to have taken feedback of its previous devices in consideration while designing the Galaxy S6 phones. The company has encased the S6 smartphones in a frame, that is made up of reinforced glass and aircraft-grade aluminium.
Both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones come packed with a 12.9-cm (5.1-inch) quad-HD Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy S6 Edge has its screen curved on the left and right edges. The smartphones run on 64-bit 2.1GHz Exynos octa-core processor. On the software front, the Samsung has given Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the its TouchWiz UX, which does not include excessive bloatware and is based on a Google’s material design.
The storage of the devices include include a 3GB of RAM and 32/ 64/ 128GB of internal storage options. Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung galaxy S6 Edge offer 4G LTE support and include 2550 mAh battery (2600 mAh in S6 Edge) and wireless charging support.
Samsung has fitted a f1.9 16MP sensor on the back with optical image stabilisation and 5MP shooter on the front. The smartphones also have a feature called ‘Quick Launch’, that allows fast, direct access to the camera from any screen in just 0.7 seconds by double clicking the home button.
The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will be available starting 10 April, 2015 in 20 countries in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6 only) and Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 edge only) colour variants.
