About the Client:

The Group’s principal activities are to manufacture and market cigarettes. The Group also exports cut and unmanufactured tobacco and cigarettes. The Group’s products include cigarettes containing tobacco and unmanufactured tobacco and other articles of paper or paper board. The Group’s plant is located at Hyderabad of AP. There are around 30 branches all across the India.

Scope of Work:

Interconnecting all the branches with MPLS (Multiprotocol Label switching) technology. Sharing all the applications across the network. Configuring call manager in the central site for the VoIP, PBX, call back service. Quality of service to offer the ultimate quality of VoIP .

Considerations:

The central site was adapted with hierarchical design i.e in three tier architecture. Enough redundancy is considered to encounter link failures.

The Solution:

All the active components from Cisco were deployed in all the sites MPLS configuration have been done in all the sites and then they were interconnected.

Vlan’s(voice vlan , Data vlan) have been created to avoid Excessive broadcast and hence avoiding congestion across the network. Policy Maps, class maps have been created for quality of service to ensure that voice traffic is getting enough priority across the network and were applied in all the sites.
