Nokia 5: Specifications, launch offers, where you can buy

HMD Global, the company that manufactures Nokia smartphones launched the Nokia 6 , 5 and 3 smartphones in India in June. Out of the three, the Nokia 5 is now up for sale starting today (August 15). Just before its sale, the smartphone also got a price cut of Rs 400. Launched at Rs 12,899, the device is now selling at Rs 12,499.

The Nokia 5 comes in Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper colour options. As part of the launch offers, Nokia 5 buyers who are using Vodafone will get 5GB internet data per month at Rs 149 per month for three months. They will also get Rs. 2500 off on Makemytrip.com. Moreover, the retailer Croma is giving an extra 5% discount on the smartphone.
Nokia 5 offers pure Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS experience and come with Google Assistant built-in. HMD Global has already confirmed the handsets will get Android O later this year or next year.
Nokia 5 has a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution. The display is coated with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It sports a 6000-series aluminum built as well.
The smartphone has 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 powers the smartphone. The Android 7.1 Nougat-based handset has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2 aperture along with an 8MP front-facing camera with 84-degree wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by the same 3,000mAh battery as well.
