Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might go on sale in US on August 24: Report

Consumer electronics giant Samsung is all set to launch its flagship smartphone Note 8 on August 23. The company has already started sending out invites for the event scheduled to take place in New York. A new report has surfaced online suggesting that the smartphone will go on sale on August 24, just a day after its official launch.
A Best Buy employee has shared a Reddit thread in which both Verizon and Samsung channels have confirmed that the smartphone will go on sale, starting August 24.
As per earlier reports, the Note 8 is said to sport a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1440×2960 resolutions. The display used here will be the ‘Infinity’ display, which will result in minimal bezels on top and bottom. The dimensions of the device are said to be 162.5×74.6×8.5mm.
In terms of processor, the phablet is said to run on the company’s own Exynos 8895 for select markets. US version of the smartphone is likely to receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor variant. The processor will be complemented with 6GB RAM along with 64GB inbuilt storage, which users will be able to expand up to 128GB using micorSD card.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is supposed to boast two 12MP rear cameras. While one will feature a f/1.7 aperture and a wide-angle lens, the other one will sport a telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. There will be a front-facing 8MP camera on board as well.
The entire package will be supported by a 3300mAh battery, which users will be able to charge using USB Type-C or wirelessly. It is likely to ship in Midnight Black and Maple Gold initially, followed by Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue.
