NetApp Breaks Ground on World-Class Research and Development Center in Bangalore, India

New facility will pave the way for future growth and foster greater innovation and collaboration

Ground Breaking FinalINDIA, Bangalore, January 30, 2014:  Today, NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) broke ground on a world-class research and development (R&D) facility at Mahadevapura, in Bangalore, India.

The nearly one million square foot facility will offer world-class working, collaboration, and recreational spaces to foster continued innovation and cross-functional collaboration. Consistent with NetApp facilities around the world, the new research and development center will exceed rigorous global environmental and safety standards. Spread over 15 acres, the new facility will include a highly efficient, 25,000 square foot data center to support global development and business operations. The facility is scheduled for completion in late 2015.

This development is an outcome of a commitment NetApp made to the Karnataka government by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Global Investors Meeting in 2012.
