MWC 2014: P&G To Reveal World’s First Smart Toothbrush

Oral-B-Powered-ToothbrushThe oral-sanitation maker, Procter & Gamble has reportedly announced the world’s first smart-toothbrush. The Oral-B electric toothbrush will connect itself to a smartphone app through a Bluetooth 4.0 connection on your phone to monitor your oral hygiene.

The smart-toothbrush comes under P&G’s flagship brand, the Oral-B. The device will display your cleaning progress in real-time, alert you if you miss any part of your mouth while brushing, and it will even warn you if are scrubbing your teeth, too hard.

You can even customise the functioning of the toothbrush as per your own “brushing routine” and consult your dentist for the best cleaning method. The preliminary tests of the smart device show that the smart-brush will in reality make you smarter about your teeth!

The smart-toothbrush can be paired with a smartphone app, especially made for the device, which will extended to average your brushing time from less than a minute to about two minutes.

The Oral-B flagship’s market launch-date will be confirmed at the smart device’s revealing, at the MWC 2014, next week. Its speculated retail price in Europe is likely to be nearly 219 Euros / $300.
