Micromx Launches Yu Yutopia Smartphone @ Rs.24,999

Micromax’s Cyanogen-only brand YU has launched its Yu Yutopialatest flagship smartphone Yutopia. Called the most powerful phone ever by the company, Yutopia comes with a price tag of Rs 24,999.

The all-new Yutopia sports a 5.2-inch 2K (1440x2560p) resolution IPS display and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The smartphone comes with 4GB DDR4 RAM, 32GB internal storage and runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1.

YU has debuted a digital assistant called ‘Around YU’, which “provides a seamless experience that simplifies and saves a user time and effort to switch between plethora of apps” with Yutopia.

Users can unlock the device with one of five stored fingerprints in less than half a second, claims the company; the fingerprint scanner can also be used to click selfies. The smartphone also features an alert slider for quick access to custom notification settings, similar to what rival OnePlus 2 sports on the left side.

Yutopia boasts of unibody metal design with aircraft grade aluminum body with antenna bands integrated seamlessly into the chassis, which the company claims makes it 90% stronger than a polycarbonate body.

On camera front, there’s 21MP shooter at the back and an 8MP camera in front. For connectivity, Yutopia is supports 4G LTE. Its battery capacity is 3,000mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 2.0 standard for fast-charging.

The pre-bookings for the smartphone start on Amazon on December 17 at 2pm, while shipping starts on December 26. The company has also announced a new ‘Assured Upgrade ‘ that provides Yutopia buyers will get have an option to upgrade to Yutopia 2 when it is released.
