Manav Rachna International University hosts International Conference on Reliability, Optimization and Information technology

ICROIT 2014, technically sponsored by IEEE, brings together stakeholders from India and abroad to exchange information about research issues, emerging trends and practical applications.

Dr. Pronab Sen, Chairman- National Statistical Commission addressing gathering at ICROIT-2014 event held at MRIUICROIT-2014 held at MRIU_ Delegates unveiling the souveniry 6, 2014: Manav Rachna International University, India’s premier private university, flagged off the 2014 edition of the International Conference on Reliability, Optimization & Information Technology (ICROIT 2014) at its Faridabad campus today. ICROIT 2014 is being organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology  -Manav Rachna International University. The Conference aims to promote scientific information exchange between faculty, researchers, engineers, students and practitioners working in India and abroad , along with offering  a platform for detailed discussions on  research issues, emerging trends and practical applications in different fields such as optimization and modeling, reliability, Total Quality Management (TQM), operations management, geo-spatial technology, cryptology, and information technology. It focuses on multidisciplinary and hybrid/ convergent research rather than different disciplines in isolation.

The conference witnessed the presence of dignitaries like Dr. Pronab Sen, Chairman- National Statistical Commission, Dr. G.Prahalada, Vice – Chancellor , Defence Institute of Advanced Technology – Pune, Lt. Gen(Retd.) Baldev Singh – President, R system International Ltd. (Noida), Dr. N.C. Wadhwa,Vice – Chancellor (Manav Rachna International University), Dr. M.K. Soni – Executive Director (Faculty of Engineering and Technology ,FET) , MRIU , Prof.Naresh Grover – Director (FET) , Prof SS Tyagi – Head of department – Computer Science and Engineering along with the faculty members , students, research fellows from the country and abroad.

Research Papers from China, Australia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and from different parts of India will be presented at the three day conference. Fifteen sessions have been planned for sharing of the research papers. The proceedings of the conference will be published in IEEE Explorer (world’s highest quality technical literature in engineering and technology). Day one of the conference had keynote speakers  like Prof. Kusum Deep (IIT Roorkee), Pradyumn K Lavaniya (EMC) and Kulvaibhav Kaushik (Infosys) speaking on the relevant topics.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. N.C. Wadhwa said, “Manav Rachna International University extends heartiest welcome to all the dignitaries. We hope that this particular conference encourages information exchange on the latest trends in Information Technology, optimization and reliability.”

In a nutshell, International Conference on Reliability, Optimization and Information Technology (ICROIT) brought together people from different walks of life to pour in their thoughts and beliefs for the benefit of the budding engineers, entrepreneurs, enterprising professionals in the era of technology.
