LG Is Planning To Rejuvenate Its Business Especially Marketing And R&D Segment

LG Electronics India,South Korean multinational electronics company is now focusing on growth in all the sectors especially in the smartphone segment and taking this aim ahead, LG will put more efforts on marketing and research activities.

Soon Kwon, MD, LG Electronics India stated that with the growing number of mobile launches LG will become a more meaningful player in the mobile segment. They expect demand to go up in the mid range costing between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.

LG recently launched its 5K TV, its curved premium smartphone G Flex 2, besides a host of over 200 other products. LG Electronics launched several premium products, including its 77 4K curved OLED TV, 98 4K ultra HD TV, new range of front-loading washing machines. The company will be launching 30 new models across price segments in India.

Niladri Datta, head, corporate marketing, LG India told The Pioneer that the company will be investing Rs 10,000 million this year and will launch 30 new smartphones by the end of this year. Right now the company has 5 per cent market share in smartphones and LG is eyeing to double the amount with the help of new launches.
