Lava Launches A79 Handset @ Rs 5,699

Lava has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of its A79 smartphone. The handset comes with a price tag of Rs 5,699 and is available in gold and grey colour options.

As for specifications, the Lava A79 sports a 5.5-inch display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 8GB and can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

The dual-sim smartphone boasts a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front shooter for selfies. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The handset houses a 2,200 mAh battery.

Lava A79 also offers an interesting feature named ‘Smart Screenshot,’ which joins multiple screenshots from WhatsApp , Facebook etc. into a single image that can be shared across social platforms easily.

Recently, Lava launched its A67 smartphone at Rs 4,549. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. The in-built storage is 4GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The device boasts a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing shooter for selfies.
