Lava’s new ‘Metal 24’ feature phone launched; price is Rs 2000

Lava has expanded its feature phones portfolio with the launch of lava-metal-24-phoneLava Metal 24. Priced at Rs 2,000, the phone boasts of a metal body. The handset is available at all leading retail outlets across the country.

In terms of specifications, the Lava Metal 24 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display with 240×320 pixel resolution. The a dual-SIM handset is powered by a MediaTek MTK6261D processor and has expandable storage up to 32GB (via microSD card).

The rear of the device houses a 1.3MP camera with flash and also supports video recording with digital zoom functionality. It is backed by a 1,000 mAh battery and is available in Gunmetal and Black colour options. The phone comes pre-loaded with games like ‘Snake’ and ‘Need of Speed’. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity and internet browsing over EDGE.

Lava Metal 24 offers support for English and Hindi languages along with space for storing 200 SMS and 500 phone book entries.
Earlier this month, Lava launched its budget smartphone X50+ at Rs 9,199. The smartphone has a sleek body with a curved back and enables single-hand operations with its one-hand mode.

It has a 5.5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. Running Android 6.0 Marshamllow, it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone offers a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 32GB by installing a microSD card.

Lava X50+ comes with dual-SIM functionality, and sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and HD video recording. A 5MP front camera with LED flash has also been included for low light photography. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. In terms of battery, the Lava X50+ comes with a 2,800mAh backup.
