Jio users faced a network outage yesterday due to which calling was affected

Yesterday morning, hundreds of consumers were not able to make or pickup phone calls due to a Jio outage. If you thought that this anomaly is only affecting, don’t worry. It was indeeed a network outage for many Jio Customers. Reliance Jio, one of India’s biggest telecoms, turns out to be experiencing a severe outage right now, which is preventing many Jio subscribers from placing or receiving calls. However, the outage did not seem to impact Jio’s internet services, since mobile data appears to be functioning normally.

Many customers reported the Reliance Jio outage on Twitter. Some claim that since the morning, their handsets have not displayed the VoLTE indicator and they are unable to place any calls. Many people have expressed their dissatisfaction and displeasure, which is understandable given how uncomfortable the circumstance may be if someone needs to make an important phone call.

There have been reports of the Reliance Jio outage in several significant cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. In Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, users had independently tried and were successful in placing and receiving phone calls via different Reliance Jio SIM cards, but some Jio numbers were unable to connect, thus the problem appears to happen in an un-organized fashion.

Reliance Jio’s outage has caused a sharp increase in user reports on the outage tracking website DownDetector. The problem seems to have peaked on Tuesday morning at around 8 am. Data services, as was already mentioned, are operating normally.

Jio has not yet released a formal statement regarding the outage, but as soon as we hear from the carrier, we will update the story. Additionally, the cause of the outage is currently unknown.
