With the ongoing national sentiment to boycott Chinese products from every aspect,the Indian social app Chingari is a good alternative to TikTok. Chingari was developed in 2019 by two Bengaluru-based programmers-Mr Biswatma Nayak and Mr Siddharth Gautam. Previously then TikTok was known as Musical.ly. The app is available in multiple languages — including English, Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu.

Mr Biswatma Nayak, Co-founder of the Chingari App, said said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the new concept of ‘Vocal for Local’.Supporting this ideology,Chingari has been developed completely in India. Chingari has been designed  keeping in mind the needs of Indian users.

In Chingari,based on how viral the video gets the content creator get points which can be redeemed for money unlike TikTok. Chingari provides both fame and money to the creator. Chingari app does not use any sinful tactics to gather viewers.
