Toonz Retail Goes International, Enters The Gulf Region
Toonz Retail India Pvt. Ltd, the fastest homegrown retail chain for all the needs and occasions of kids from 0-12 years, expands its footprint into the Gulf region. The Indian kids’ retail giant has signed an exclusive 5 years agreement with Tariq Albassami Group (TAT) appointing them as their master franchisee to open and operate stores in GCC. Toonz Retail’s first International store will be launched by the end of February in Khamis Mushayt, Abha, Saudi Arabia.
Positioned as a premium brand, Toonz Retail International stores will be spread over an area of 1800 -2000 sq.ft, offering a plush experience to the customers. Toonz International stores will offer their flagship brands WOWMOM, SUPERYOUNG and SUPERYOUNG CELEBRATIONS along with a complete range of exciting kids’ products including Fashion, Baby Care, Nursery, Toys and School Supplies amongst others.
“We are excited to expand our footprint internationally into the GCC region. It is an important market for us and will play a vital role in the overall growth strategy of the company”, shared Mr. Sharad Venkta, Managing Director & CEO, Toonz India Pvt. Ltd. “Our first store will be launched in Khamis Mushayt, offering a wide range of products to meet all the needs of kids from 0-12 years of age. We are targeting to launch 10 stores in GCC by 2016-17, which will help us strengthen our foothold in the International market”, he further added.
Toonz Retail is successfully managing more than 70 stores in India. The stores are spread across 15 states in 50 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur amongst other cities. It is one of the first players in the kids’ retail market, which offers a wide range of qualitative offerings for kids at affordable price range under one roof.
