Samsung launches ‘Rose Pink’ variant of the Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone in Taiwan

South Korean smartphone giant Samsung has launched ‘Rose Pink’ colour variant of the Galaxy S8+ smartphone in Taiwan. Internationally, the flagship smartphone comes in Orchid Grey, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, Midnight Black and Maple Gold colour variants.
The all-new Rose Pink colour variant of Samsung Galaxy S8+ has been priced at TWD 27,900. Sammobile first spotted the ‘Rose Pink’ colour variant of the smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphone’s new colour variant will go on pre-orders starting June 30. The smartphone will be available with other major distribution channels from early July.
Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ launched in India in April. While the Galaxy S8 is priced at Rs 57,900 (MOP), its big-screen variant is priced at Rs 64,900 (MOP). Both the smartphones are available for pre-orders on Flipkart and will start shipping on May 5. The duo will also be available via third-party offline retailers.
Those who have pre-ordered the device will also be eligible for the wireless charging dock as well. As widely expected, Samsung is not bundling its new handsets with the DexStation dock. The all-new smartphones succeed Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge phones that launched in March 2016.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ come with the company’s home-brewed Bixby digital assistant, rival to Apple Siri and Microsoft Cortana. The company claims that Bixby can do much more than its rivals, including being able to handle any smartphone-related task that is managed by touch. The voice assistant will initially be integrated with Samsung’s native applications including Camera, Contacts, Gallery, Messages and Settings.
The bigger-screen variant, Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QuadHD+ (2960×1440) ‘Infinity Display’ with 529ppi pixel density. Powered by the same processor, the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with the same RAM and inbuilt storage. It is backed by a larger 3500mAh battery supporting the same wireless fast-charging technology. The camera specifics also stay similar to that of the Galaxy S8.
The duo are dust and water-resistant and have pressure-sensitive home buttons built right into the phones’ screens. The fingerprint sensor is at the back besides the rear camera. There’s also an iris scanner with facial recognition functionality. Needless to say, the duo also sport Samsung Pay digital payment system.
