In conversation with Mr. Arpit Chaudhary, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at GreedyGame

Jahnavi- What is the major vision behind GreedyGame? Do you think it’s able to cope with its desired results?

Arpit- GreedyGame is on a mission to help developers scale their businesses. Our goal is to empower the app economy, promote sustainable and profitable app development, and support innovative apps that can solve problems and add value to users daily lives. We recognize that many developers face knowledge gaps and other obstacles once they’ve identified a viable market. Therefore, we aim to alleviate their burden by handling the technical and operational aspects of app monetization and growth, allowing them to focus on what they do best – create amazing apps.

Jahnavi- Tell us about your recently launched product PubScale and the vision behind it?

Arpit- PubScale is a comprehensive platform that consolidates GreedyGame’s various offerings into a single umbrella. We recognize that many developers struggle with monetizing their apps or gaining traction, which is where PubScale comes in. As a SaaS platform, PubScale assists developers with their marketing, monetization, and data requirements. We are enthusiastic about enabling developers to construct things in an automated manner. PubScale also offers a structured console approach that allows us to create and invest in tools that developers may use
in the future to address more complicated issues.

Jahnavi- What is your hiring strategy as you grow and scale outside India?

Arpit- India’s large population offers a unique advantage for testing and refining technicalities at scale, making it a valuable geography for GreedyGame. As we aim to expand beyond India, we are seeking partnerships that can provide us with a strong local presence and allow us to hire individuals who can provide valuable insights into local markets. When selecting new team members, we prioritize individuals who are motivated to drive positive change and work collaboratively to improve continuously. The impact that an individual can have within a startup
environment is amplified, and we are committed to building a team that can drive our growth and success.

Jahnavi- What is the expansion plan for GreedyGame in the future? How do you aim to achieve it?

Arpit- We see India as a highly promising market for growth, with internet penetration at 43% and the potential for many more users to come online. Therefore, we aim to establish a strong and deep presence in this region. In terms of geographic expansion, we prioritize Tier-1 markets as they tend to offer higher eCPMs and greater impact for publishers. Looking towards the future, we anticipate that the increasing popularity of low-code and no-code platforms will lower the barrier to entry for app development, making it important to provide scale strategies to empower such developers.

Jahnavi-  Since you have worked on more than ten thousand apps so far, do you have any advice concerning that (best way to grow your apps, etc)?

Arpit- One of the most important lessons I have learned in this industry is that there is no one-size- fits-all solution to scaling apps. This is what makes it such a challenging task for developers. They must determine what works best for their app and conduct a lot of experiments. We have  found that monetization works best when integrated with the content as a fundamental strategy, rather than an afterthought. Many times, developers make the mistake of not understanding user behavior and analyzing their user base before introducing new features. Different types of apps
also require different growth strategies; for example, a utility app will not experience the same level of retention as a game. By understanding the audience and listening to their needs, many issues can be avoided in general.

Jahnavi- Considering GreedyGame offers an all-in-one product that aids in overall app/website growth and monetization, could you tell us how that work in general?

Arpit- Once a publisher onboards our platform PubScale, they can connect their apps with different tools like Grow, AdX, SDKX and Insights depending on their specific needs. Our console provides all the necessary documentation for smooth integration. With Grow, publishers can create and run ad campaigns on our network to attract more users to their platform. AdX allows developers to leverage Google Demand to increase
eCPMs and fill rates on their app. SDK X provides additional demand sources and optimization features to enhance the ad stack. INSIGHTS generates valuable ROI data that highlights the best- performing channels. Once connected, the developers apps go live after our QA cycle to ensure proper implementation. Our dashboard offers multiple ways to analyze data to determine what is working best.

Jahnavi- As you’re a tech and AI enthusiast, how do you think AI is going to benefit us? Can it turn harmful to the world?

Arpit- It’s fascinating to see the rapid growth of AI and related technologies. Similar concerns existed during the evolution of the internet, but its exciting to witness the fundamental shift in the way we do things. Many businesses are already utilizing AI models to streamline their processes and address pain points. However, there are valid concerns regarding privacy and job displacement due to AI. I believe Big Tech will have a significant responsibility to address these concerns. While new AI use cases are discovered daily, we are just scratching the surface of its potential. I envision that AI tools will continue to evolve and bring about positive change, creating value for end-users while minimizing any negative side effects.
