Call center has proved to be an important medium to serve the citizens in various ways. Keeping this mind,
the state Government of Rajasthan has launched an integrated call center through a person can get all information about the departments through the medium of single phone call. The decision was made during the budget speech of year 2012-13.
Honorable CM Shri Ashok Gehlot graced the occasion and inaugurated the call
center on 3rd August 2013. On the occasion, Shri Gehlot said, the government has been working with the aim of providing of transparency and responsible governance to the citizens. He also emphasized on the training of the employees as only then they will be able to answer the queries of the citizens with immense patience.
Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, DOIT, welcomed the guests and explained the details about the call center.
In the initial phase, Child and Women Welfare Dept, Transport Dept, Electricity Dept, Labor Dept, medical and healthcare Dept, Agriculture Dept, Social welfare Dept, JDA, Industrial Dept, Revenue Dept, Dept of Public Health services, RPSC, DOIT, Civil Dept., Food Dept, Employment Dept, Minority Affairs Dept, Commercial Taxes Dept, etc. will be covered.
In the first phase, the citizens of the state can avail citizen centric information of the 19 departments through a unique call center no -1800 180 6127. The earlier call centers of the various will be merged with this call center. Initially 20 lines will be available which will be updated to 100 lines later. Apart from call services, information will also be dispensed through sms and email. The timing of the call center will be 8.00 am to 8.00 pm
