Gionee CTRL V4 quad-core Android v4.2 smartphone launched at Rs. 9,999

Gionee-CTRL V4 Black-670Gionee has launched a new budget quad-core smartphone in India, called the CTRL V4. The mobile runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, copled with 512MB of RAM. It supports dual SIM dual standby and comes with inbuilt ‘protection software’.

The 3G-capable Gionee CTRL V4 has a 4.5-inch display with 480 x 854 pixel display resolution. It has a CTRL V4 has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash capable of HD Video Recording and a VGA front-facing camera. The mobile supports Yamaha PA 168 digital sound system and has a PowerVR Series 5XT GPU. The phone has proximity sensor, G-sensor, E-Compass and a digital compass.

The CTRL V4 has a built in 4GB memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card support. Other features included are inbuilt Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. It has an integrated FM Radio, an 1800mAh battery and.

The phone is available in black and white colors. Gionee has bundled the phone with an 8 GB memory card and a phone case. The Gionee CTRL V4 is available for Rs 9,999 in India.

Gionee is also planning to launch the ELife E6 on July 10 in China and India at an event in Beijing according to the company’s Facebook page. The ELife E6 is just 8mm thin and comes with a 5-inch 1080p ‘Retina’ display. It has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for video calling. Other features included are a PowerVR SGX544 GPU, with 2 GB of RAM, 2,000mAh+ battery and is expected to run on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS.
