Foxconn Utilizes More Factories for the Content Provider, LeTV to Produce LCD TV

Foxconn, world’s leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, has recently started using its plants to produce LCD TVs for China-based content provider LeTV and with the addition; the LCD TVs’ shipment waiting period has been reduced from three weeks to only one week.

By adding Foxconn’s Yantai plants, the LCD TVs’ shipment time to consumers in Northern China is expected to be shortened.

In addition to Yantai, Foxconn is also using its plants in Shenzhen and Hengyang, China to produce LCD TVs for LeTV, allowing shorter shipment times to Southern and Western China. Foxconn cooperated with LeTV in May 2013, supplying large-size LCD TVs for the China content provider’s own-brand LCD TV business. China-based vendor Xiaomi has also recently released an own-brand LCD TV, trying to take some demand away from LeTV.
