Danfoss Launches Centre Of Excellence At College Of Engineering Pune

Student Innovators from CoEP who developed a unique energy efficient mist cooling system were also recognised as part of Danfoss University Engagement Initiative

As part of its university engagement initiative specifically danfoss-logo1conceptualised to develop India’s talent pool for manufacturing, Danfoss, India, a Danish company, which engineers technologies for a better tomorrow, today established a Center of Excellence (CoE) at College of Engineering, here, to enable students and teachers to get hands-on experience of energy efficient technologies prevalent in the industry.

Danfoss Centre of Excellence will help students gain knowledge and acquire technical hands on experience on Danfoss products such as scroll compressor, stop valves, shut off valves, filter driers, reciprocating compressors, solenoid valves, automatic controls, plate heat exchanger, electronic controllers and industrial refrigeration controls for hand on experience. These products will also be available for students to experiment with in the lab.

Student innovators from College of Engineering, Pune, who developed a unique pollution free energy efficient mist cooling system without use of pump, were also recognised during the launch.

Emphasising on the need to ignite innovation in young aspiring minds, Mr. Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss India, “We are glad that our university engagement initiatives are yielding positive results. Triggering students to consider energy efficiency as the first fuel for a better economy and growth is our prime objective and we are pleased that our objectives are being actioned by these young innovators.
