Zomato CEO, Deepinder Goyal, shared an interesting fact, revealing that on New Year’s Eve (NYE) 2023, the food delivery platform fulfilled nearly as many orders as it did on the combined NYEs from 2015 to 2020. Goyal expressed enthusiasm about the future prospects, highlighting the tremendous growth experienced on this significant occasion.

Similarly, Albinder Dhindsa, Co-Founder and CEO of Blinkit, a quick-commerce delivery platform under the Zomato umbrella, announced that the company recorded its highest-ever daily orders and orders per minute. Rohit Kapoor, Swiggy CEO, shared the achievement on X, stating that NYE ’24 surpassed all previous records for both Swiggy Food and Instamart. Kapoor expressed his delight, sharing that he celebrated with the team at the stroke of midnight.

Additionally, Kapoor highlighted the exceptional performance of Swiggy Instamart in terms of orders per minute. The platform surpassed its previous record, set during the World Cup Finals day, by an impressive 1.6 times. This performance indicator further emphasized the growing popularity and reliance on on-demand grocery delivery services.
