A significant update to Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system was been published. introducing a plethora of new features and enhancements throughout. The optional download for the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 3 (KB5026446) update is now open. but will soon be a part of the June Patch Tuesday that is required.

The updated widget panel, which now has three columns, is one of the biggest improvements in this version. These columns are divided into two sections: one for widgets and one for news. Now that the widget icons on the taskbar are animated, the user experience is more dynamic and interesting. Users can now easily implement two factor authentication by copying security codes from alerts.

Updates to the Settings app include a new USB4 page. Docking stations and associated devices can be managed by users. Additionally, the Presence Privacy Settings page is now accessible. Users can control their PC’s wake-up and lock functions while entering or exiting. The Accounts page now includes up-to-date details about OneDrive subscriptions. Users have accurate access to storage information.

Additionally improved is File Explorer, which now features context menus that accept access keys. Additionally, accessibility has been improved with the addition of live subtitles in more languages. Also supported is voice access in additional dialects of English.

Users will now be able to easily check their VPN status directly from the taskbar, while the option to display seconds on the clock adds a handy timekeeping feature. Moreover, the update enhances security by providing protection against phishing attacks and insecure passwords. Additionally, Bluetooth Low Energy Audio support is now available, allowing for improved audio connectivity.

Beyond the user-facing changes, Microsoft has also made significant improvements under the hood, focusing on bug fixes, crashes, and overall system stability. These enhancements may not be immediately apparent to users but contribute to a more reliable and robust Windows 11 operating system.
