Following the recent launch of the Legion Y700 Gen 5, Lenovo has officially confirmed that another performance-focused Android tablet is on the horizon. The Chinese technology giant shared a teaser on the social media platform Weibo, officially announcing that the Lenovo Legion Y700 AI gaming tablet will make its debut in the Chinese market this coming August.
While full technical specifications remain under wraps, the official teaser confirms several key details regarding the device’s feature set and aesthetics. The upcoming Legion Y700 AI will boast native 5G connectivity, built-in artificial intelligence features, and a compact, lightweight chassis optimized for on-the-go gaming.
Visually, the teaser showcases the tablet in a distinct purple colorway, sporting prominent Legion branding across the rear panel. Its design subtly differentiates itself from the current Gen 5 model, most notably through its rear camera module. Positioned in the top-right corner, the tablet houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor that is completely encircled by a customizable RGB LED light ring framework—a visual accent that underscores its identity as a dedicated gaming device.
The announcement comes right on the heels of the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 5 launch, which arrived with a starting price of CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 54,100) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. That version delivers premium gaming features, including an 8.8-inch 165Hz display, Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a massive 17,353 sq mm liquid-cooled vapor chamber, and a 9,000mAh battery supporting 68W fast charging. It also uses specialized AI features like AI Voiceprint Hunter 2.0 and AI Pixel Sniper God 2.0. Mobile gamers eagerly await August to see how the new Legion Y700 AI expands upon this robust hardware foundation.
