The upcoming OnePlus Ace 7 series is generating substantial buzz online following a major specifications leak from a prominent Chinese tipster on Weibo. According to Digital Chat Station, the next-generation premium sub-series—expected to feature both the standard OnePlus Ace 7 and the high-end OnePlus Ace 7 Pro—is currently in its engineering prototype stage, revealing some staggering, gaming-centric hardware choices.
The most eye-catching revelation from the leaked prototype details is the inclusion of a massive 9,000mAh battery. This marks a significant upgrade over previous generations, easily eclipsing the 7,800mAh and 8,600mAh capacities seen in the Ace 6 lineup. To complement this enormous power reservoir, OnePlus is reportedly equipping the devices with either 100W or 120W ultra-fast charging capabilities alongside an active fan cooling system to manage thermal performance during intense use.
On the display front, the engineering units feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel with a crisp 1.5K resolution. Gamers will particularly welcome the rumored 185Hz refresh rate, a notable step up from the already smooth 165Hz panels used in last year’s models.
Performance will be driven by Qualcomm’s flagship processors. The leak indicates that the standard version runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (model number SM8850), while the sister variant utilizes a customized edition of the same silicon, designated as the SM8850Q.
For photography, the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro is rumored to sport a high-end 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom, powered by Samsung’s JN5 sensor. While the leaks paint a picture of an uncompromising, performance-driven flagship lineup with a minimalist build, these specifications remain subject to change until OnePlus officially announces the product launch timeline.
