YouTube Is Now One Step Closer Virtual Reality Videos

YouTube is all set to enter the world of virtual reality. You TubeAccording to the latest reports, the Popular video-sharing website has promised to add support for 360-degree video uploads. YouTube has revealed its plans after the first online 360-degree commercial ad of Bud Light made its debut.

Integration of 3D would mean that the users of headsets like Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR or Oculus Rift would not only be able to see images in three dimensions but also be able to spin around to revolutionise their view.

YouTube has further explained that it would give special camera rigs which support the format at its studios across the globe, including the two ones which would open at Toronto and Mumbai in the next year. The 3D videos would be able to engage viewers in an entirely new way.

Susan Wojcicki, CEO, YouTube had announced the support for 360-degree video during VidCon, an annual convention for fans as well as online video creators which was held at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Wojcicki had also discussed his plans also regarding a redesign of YouTube’s mobile app which would notify its users when new videos would be posted by the creators. Additionally, it would also feature editing tools for filters. Meanwhile, the redesign is available for Android devices, while support for Apple devices will follow soon.

If all goes as anticipated, audiences would soon be able to explore every angle of the videos by moving their phones or dragging their mouse.
