Xiaomi Redmi 4A goes on sale for Amazon Prime members

Back in March, Xiaomi launched its Redmi 4A smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 5,999, the budget smartphone was originally offered to customers via flash sales. Now, Amazon India is offering the smartphone exclusively to Amazon Prime members.
Amazon will be putting the Redmi 4A on sale today, starting 3PM. The offer is available only for Amazon Prime subscribers. It’s worth mentioning that the Citi bank cash back offer is not valid for this promotion. Those who have Amazon Prime’s trial subscription can also opt for the sale.
The e-commerce giant says that the offer window will be open for an hour and that there is no guarantee if you potential buyers be able to get the smartphone or not.
“This offer is valid on limited quantities, until stocks last. While all Prime members stand a chance to purchase the deal we cannot guarantee availability of any particular deal. It’s fastest fingers first, so hurry!” reads the information on the website.
To recall, Xiaomi Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. It’s powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB through microSD cards.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s MIUI skin on top, the dual-SIM handset has a 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. A 5MP front-facing shooter is also there. Major connectivity options include 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, with a 3,120mAh battery rounding off the spec sheet.
For now, Xiaomi seems to be planning to launch a new smartphone in India. Few days ago, the company teased the launch of a smartphone on its official social handles. Though the posts did not reveal the name of the device, they do mention that the smartphone will be part of the company’s Redmi line-up. It’s widely speculated that the smartphone in question will be Redmi 4.
