Xiaomi has released the MIUI 14 – Here’s a look at all the features, eligible phones, and other details

Along with the launch of its high-end Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi also unveiled its most recent skin, MIUI 14. The Android 13-based MIUI 14 operating system is intended to streamline your smartphone experience without taking up too much space. MIUI 14 uses up to 1.5GB less space on devices and uses fewer system resources than MIUI 13 does. With MIUI 14, Xiaomi aims to make third-party app optimizations better so they run more efficiently and consume less battery. Instead of the previous 16 pre-installed apps, users will now only encounter 8 uninstallable pre-installed programmes.

There are features like automatic low-frequency app compression, combining duplicate files, and simple permanent notification deactivation. Compared to MIUI 13, reviews claim that the system fluency has enhanced by 60%. A few of the visual improvements include new widgets, four different app icon sizes, resizable folders, and animated cat/dog avatars on the home screen.

MIUI 14 also includes additional privacy and security features. End-to-side text recognition is included into this, allowing for both local calculation of sensitive data and word recognition in images that is speedier and safer. Users will now get real-time subtitles during video calls.

The revised Xiaomi skin also comes with the new XiaoAi AI Assistant 6.0 for multifunctional reminders, shortcuts to payment and transportation codes, and more. The family cloud service, health sharing, and faster and more reliable Wi-Fi connectivity are additional highlights of MIUI 14.
