Wipro donates is facility’s area as Hospital amidst Crisis in Pune

Wipro, an Indian information technology company based in Bangalore, Karnataka, dedicated 1.8 lakh square feet of area in its facility in Hinjewadi, Pune. Maharashtra’s chief minister Uddhav Thackeray opened this facility, which is equipped with 504 beds and 18 ventilators. Wipro has given provided two states of the art ambulances for the public. This hospital will be the first hospital to be run on a public-private partnership. Pune’s district administration will be assigned the task of providing medical staff for the working of the hospital, whereas Wipro will manage the beds and the meals for the people. This hospital facility also has an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with ten beds and a few ventilators. Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated this facility via video conferencing; he said,” Maharashtra has built up significant health facilities in the state since the first patient was found. The state had only two testing centers, but now, this number has reached 80, and it will soon cross 100. Even the name of isolation, and ICU, beds have increased significantly. Wipro is known for its quality, and the same status will be maintained at this hospital. The state government congratulates them for the same.” Wipro’s chairman Rishad Premji son of Azeem Premji, along with Maharasthra’s health minister and MP Supriya Sule, was present online during the inauguration. Maharashtra has the highest number of cases in India, CM said that the no of the testing facility has gone up from 2 to more than 80 and is expected to go more than 100 in the next week He also said that the government would also help set up more field hospital.
Wipro Ltd has also partnered with US-based CloudKnox security and has invested $150M to use cloud security and improve working remotely. It helps companies access private and public cloud infrastructure. Private and public companies have moved to cloud computing, but there is a considerable risk of inadequate security solutions. The company will give Cyber Defense Centers for delivering their services.
