Microsoft Champions Agentic AI at Pinnacle 2025

Microsoft’s India Development Center (IDC) hosted its third annual Pinnacle Summit in Hyderabad under the bannerUnlock the Agentic Future – Where AI Agents Meet Human Ingenuity.” The event spotlighted India’s accelerating influence in the global artificial intelligence (AI) landscape, particularly through the rise of agentic AI systems and enterprise-scale AI applications.

The summit brought together developers, tech leaders, and Microsoft’s key industry partners to explore the future of AI-enabled agents—tools designed to operate with increasing autonomy, intelligence, and collaboration.

Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director and President of Microsoft IDC.

With over 17 million Indian developers already active on GitHub and a goal to become the world’s largest developer community by 2028, Microsoft reaffirmed its commitment to India’s tech ecosystem. “India’s developers will lead the next wave of breakthrough technologies,” said Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director and President of Microsoft IDC. “We are proud to drive AI innovations that help India grow and deliver global impact at scale.”

One of the summit’s highlights was a fireside chat between Kumar and Jay Parikh, Executive Vice President of CoreAI, marking Parikh’s first visit to India since joining Microsoft. “AI is transforming everything—how we work, build, and create,” Parikh noted. “It’s not just theoretical anymore. Azure AI Foundry is already serving more than 60,000 customers worldwide, with Indian enterprises leading much of the adoption.”

Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia

Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, emphasized India’s evolving role in AI. “India is no longer just a consumer of AI—it is a builder. Agents and Copilots are the new UI for AI, merging IQ, EQ, and AQ (agency). That’s where real transformation begins,” he said.

Several leading Microsoft partners demonstrated how they are leveraging Microsoft’s AI stack for real-world impact:

  • Physics Wallah showcased Alakh AI, a learning suite built on GPT-4o via Azure, including tools like AI Guru and Smart Doubt Engine.

  • Wipro shared its transformation into an “AI Organisation” by integrating Microsoft AI across its enterprise workflows.

  • Fractal presented a unified agentic AI platform designed to boost decision intelligence for large-scale enterprises.

  • Infosys reported that developers using GitHub Copilot on Azure have written over 14 million lines of code.

  • Kore.ai demonstrated AI-driven automation for service and operations, powered by Microsoft technologies.

The event also featured the IDC Tech Fair, showcasing over 200 innovation booths across Copilot extensibility, responsible AI, secure AI systems, and more.

The summit concluded with the IDC Pinnacle Awards, recognizing exceptional projects that delivered excellence in Agility & Productivity, User Delight & Customer Satisfaction, and Innovation.
