Screenshots of Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 11 operating system were leaked on Chinese site Baidu. The next-generation Windows will be launched on the 24th of June, as confirmed by Microsoft. The screenshots reveal a completely new user interface, start menu, and much more.

The big event on the 24th will leave Windows 10 behind and would boost the Windows App store with its exciting features. It is rumored that Windows 11 can have a new icon as well.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft has said at the Build 2021 conference that the Windows 11 update will be the most significant one of the past decade. And it will ‘unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators.’ The launch of the Windows 11 is scheduled for June 24 at 11 am Eastern Time (8.30 pm IST).

Tom Warren of the Verge took on Twitter by storm by sharing the screenshots of the speculated Windows 11. It is being said that the design is inspired by Windows 10X. Windows 10X was developed for the dual screens. The easy design-centered icons just as the Windows 10X.

The tray area seems better aligned with the new start, restart, and shut down buttons. Additionally, you can put the Start menu and other app icons in the center taskbar or move them to the left as per your convenience.

The screenshots reveal that Windows 11 will have a system-wide dark mode and a simplified user interface. The rounded corners will be a key feature all through the update, and it looks better already.

The maximize button on the apps will let the snap controls and the access to news, weather, etc is made easy with a widget icon with quick access. Xbox experience in Windows 11 will be enhanced as the app is being integrated into the OS.

There is no major update on the Windows Store yet. For now, it looks similar to what was in Windows 10. However, hints are pointing towards a major transition for the store that would allow developers to submit a Windows application.
