Whats App Privacy Checkup

WhatsApp has introduced two new privacy features to enhance the privacy and security of its platform. These features include the automatic silencing of calls from unknown callers and a new Privacy Checkup. Previously, users had to navigate through various settings to manage their privacy preferences, which could be inconvenient. The Privacy Checkup consolidates all privacy settings into one place, allowing users to easily review and adjust their preferences.

The Privacy Checkup is divided into four sections, each addressing different aspects of privacy. The first section enables users to control who can contact them via calls or messages, manage group settings, silence unknown callers, and block specific contacts. The second section focuses on controlling personal information such as online status, activity, profile photo, last seen status, and read receipts.

The third section allows users to enhance privacy within their chats by utilizing features like the default message timer and end-to-end encryption backups. The fourth section emphasizes account protection and offers options like fingerprint lock and two-step verification.

To access the Privacy Checkup, users can navigate to the settings in WhatsApp and select the Privacy option. From there, they can easily access the Privacy Checkup banner at the top.

These new features provide users with greater control over their privacy settings, making it simpler and more convenient to manage their preferences and ensure their privacy and security on the platform.
