Vivo to Unveil Budget-Friendly TWS 5e Earbuds with 55dB ANC and Massive Battery Life

Vivo has announced the upcoming release of its newest true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the Vivo TWS 5e, scheduled to debut in China on May 29. Launching alongside the brand’s new S60 smartphone series, the audio accessory is already open for pre-orders. Ahead of the official event, Vivo has showcased the design and a few headline performance metrics online.

Strategic Upgrades in Noise Cancellation

Positioned as a productivity and focus-oriented accessory, the defining feature of the Vivo TWS 5e is its hybrid adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC). The earbuds are engineered to block out up to 55dB of ambient disruptions, allowing users to tune out environmental distractions like city traffic, office chatter, or noisy daily commutes.

This marks a significant performance leap over previous entry-level generations, such as 2023’s TWS 3e which topped out at 30dB ANC. Within Vivo’s current audio portfolio, the TWS 5e sits below the premium TWS 5 and TWS 5 Hi-Fi (which achieve 60dB ANC) but steps above the ANC-less TWS 5i.

Extended Battery and Sound Enhancements

Battery life stands out as another crucial selling point for the new model. Vivo claims the TWS 5e can provide up to 55 hours of aggregate audio playback when factoring in successive top-ups from its charging case. Beyond longevity, the brand promises a wider, more immersive panoramic soundscape designed to give media a richer, spatial dimension.

Design and Styling

Structurally, the TWS 5e utilizes a classic stem-style layout featuring soft, swappable silicone tips for an ergonomic, secure fit. The earbuds sport rounded outer shells that dock into a sleek, glossy, oval-shaped charging case. The case is built with a central LED status indicator on the front and a USB Type-C port on the bottom base for recharging.

Consumers will be able to select from three distinct colorways at launch:

  • Black

  • White

  • Green (Sky Blue)

While detailed acoustic hardware specifications, IP protection ratings, and official pricing tiering remain under wraps, full commercial details are expected to arrive during the May 29 launch showcase.
