Video Quality and Round Alert for WhatsApp Android under testing

WhatsApp is currently testing various design and feature changes for Android smartphones. These updates include the introduction of video quality selection and a round UI for alerts. However, these changes are part of the beta version and may take some time before they are publicly released.

The video quality feature allows users to choose between retaining the original resolution or selecting a lower resolution for faster uploads when sending videos. Additionally, high-quality photos and videos are now labeled with a tag within the message bubble. The process behind the automatic tagging for videos is not fully clear, and users have had no control over this feature until now.

Another significant change is the adoption of a new material design scheme for the popup option selector. This includes round corners for the popup window, giving it a more elegant appearance and enhancing the user experience. The shape of icons and animations is also being updated to align with these design changes.

Although these updates are still in development, WhatsApp plans to release them in stable mode for all users in the future.
