Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduces Nivetti Systems’ latest router, touted as India’s quickest, boasting speeds of up to 2.4 terabits per second

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw lauded Nivetti Systems on Saturday for achieving a remarkable feat in the development of a router with a staggering speed of 2.4 terabytes per second (tbps), marking a significant milestone for India’s indigenous technological capabilities. Speaking at the launch event held in Bengaluru, Vaishnaw, who holds key portfolios including Electronics, Communication, Information Technology, and Railways, expressed his admiration for the achievement and its potential impact on the nation’s technological landscape.

Vaishnaw hailed the router’s development as a momentous achievement for India and envisioned its widespread deployment across various sectors in the country, with hopes of eventual global exports. Drawing parallels, he likened the router to a digital postman, capable of efficiently processing and delivering large volumes of data from diverse sources to their intended destinations. Emphasizing its versatility, Vaishnaw highlighted its potential applications in critical sectors such as railways communication networks, power grids, telecommunications, and television media.

 

Aligning the router’s unveiling with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for technological advancement, Vaishnaw underscored the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and scaling up indigenous technological capabilities. He outlined the Prime Minister’s focus on positioning India as a global leader in technology and manufacturing, leveraging the country’s robust software expertise and innovative design capabilities.

Reflecting on the evolving landscape of manufacturing, Vaishnaw stressed the importance of software integration and innovative design in driving modern production processes. He articulated India’s trajectory towards becoming a dominant force in global manufacturing, leveraging its strengths in software development and design.

Vaishnaw emphasized the government’s support for innovators and its efforts to create a conducive environment for technological innovation through various policies and incentives. He expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA government’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, anticipating further support for innovators and the establishment of favorable regulatory frameworks to facilitate their endeavors.

Looking ahead, Vaishnaw predicted significant growth opportunities for innovators in both domestic and international markets under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He affirmed the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and ensuring that India remains at the forefront of technological advancement on the global stage.
