Ultra Mobile Debuts Ultra Zero: Free International Calling To 1.5 Billion People

ultra-mobi-ftUltra MobileTM, a prepaid mobile provider serving international communities across the United States, unveiled Ultra Zero at the Prepaid Press Expo in Las Vegas. The feature, the first and only offering of its kind, enables Ultra Mobile subscribers to make international calls to Canada, China, Mexico, Singapore, and the United Kingdom at zero cents per minute for the first 1,000 minutes. Ultra Zero now is included in all the company’s unlimited, no-contract plans, which start at $19 per month. In addition to Ultra Zero, the company announced that it is massively reducing the price of calling another 1.5 billion people in Cuba, Haiti, India, Nepal, Nigeria, and Poland.

All Ultra Mobile plans now include 4G data, unlimited global SMS, 0Β’ international calling, international calling credit, Call Me Free, and nationwide talk, giving subscribers the most comprehensive bundle of services offered by any US mobile operator.

How amazing is it that calling 1.5 billion people around the world is now the same price as calling across the street?” queried Erin Anderson, vice president, Indirect Sales at Ultra Mobile, who is speaking at The Prepaid Press Expo in a session about Successful MVNOs. “With Ultra Zero we are further distancing ourselves from any other mobile phone operator and shocking the global calling card market. Ultra Zero and our lower international rates reach more than 40% of the world’s population, and show the incredible power of bundling international services into a monthly mobile plan.

Ultra Mobile is among the attendees at The Prepaid Press Expo 2013, a trade event that focuses on the convergence of all prepaid products and services. At the event, Ultra Mobile is evangelizing the future of global communications with its “Sink or SIM” campaign aiming to lure additional independent retailers to its distribution network. Ultra Mobile SIMs work on any unlocked GSM device offering nationwide coverage and eliminate the need for calling cards and global texting add-ons by including international communication as standard on all of its plans.

Our thousands of independent wireless retailers can’t wait to offer this unbelievable Ultra Mobile feature to their frequent international caller clientele,” said Cliff Tompkins, CEO of Rayz Mobile, a master agent in California who is also attending The Prepaid Press Expo. “It takes big news to get these savvy dealers excited, but Ultra Mobile knows how to keep sweetening its offering so that customers and retailers can’t say no. We expect that this feature will add more fire to the sale of Ultra Mobile SIMs and re-ups through our growing West-coast distribution network,” he concluded.
