Samsung To Add New Smart TVs To Its Internet Of Things Platform, SmartThings

Samsung’s new line of Smart TVs and its 2016 series of samsung_smart_tv-2high-end, 4K-resolution LCD TVs are going to be in sync with the company’s Internet of Things platform known as SmartThings. This was announced by Samsung on 29 December.

Connecting with this smart home service, one can control other smart gadgets like locks and thermostats, from the TV on a single interface.You can also adjust the brightness level of your living room lights via motion sensors installed within the house as the sensors will send pop-up notifications to your TV.

The smart things service by Samsung had come about in 2014. It is the company’s main platform in the fast paced industry on Internet of Things. The Internet of Things (IoT) is going to be a big attraction in the upcoming CES 2016 event taking place in Las Vegas. For Samsung, the IoT industry plays a major role in the development of its software as well as products.
