Twitter has revamped its Android app for an overall better user experience. The overhaul brings an improved design and some much awaited tweaks. The changes are rolling out globally for all users.
The update brings in a new material design, thus imparting a fresh look to the app. It makes simpler for users to navigate quickly between various sections such as Home, Timeline, Direct Messages and Notifications. The buttons on the top bar are now larger too. The positions of Tweet , Camera and Gallery buttons have been changed as well.
The revamp incorporates a new navigation menu, which slides out from the side and allows users to access their profile, highlights and settings. Apart from all these changes, Twitter has also added a new floating action button that enables users to compose a new Tweet easily.
Last month, it was reported that Twitter is planning to roll out an automatic ‘Night Mode’ to its Android app that will swap out the white background and replace it with a darker one for better readability at night.
