Twitter is considering introducing a new “Enhanced Discovery” feature for its premium X users

Under the leadership of Elon Musk, Twitter, now known as X, has undergone numerous changes. One notable addition has been the introduction of a paid subscription plan offering a verification badge and exclusive features for subscribers. Another forthcoming feature is “Enhanced Discovery,” set to be offered to X Premium subscribers. This feature is designed to help users find posts related to the subject matter of their own posts.

Android Authority has uncovered hints of the upcoming Enhanced Discovery feature in the latest beta version of X for Android. Notably, strings labeled “blue_upsell” indicate that this feature will be exclusive to X Premium subscribers. Enhanced Discovery aims to provide users with content closely related to the subjects of their posts.

The latest beta version of X also includes signs of audio and video calling features, suggesting that these functionalities will soon be available. This aligns with Musk’s previous announcement in August, where he confirmed the forthcoming availability of voice and video calls on both iOS and Android, without the need for a phone number.

As of now, there is no specified timeline for the rollout of these new features. In a separate development, Musk hinted at the possibility of introducing monthly fees for all X users. During a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Musk discussed the idea of implementing a “small monthly payment” to address the issue of “vast armies of bots” on the platform.

This series of changes underscores X’s evolving nature under Elon Musk’s stewardship, as the platform aims to enhance user experiences and combat challenges like misinformation and automated bot accounts.
