TVS-E holds 2nd position in the DMP market share which is the core business of TVS-E, as the PC market shrinks there is also a challenge on DMP business and TVS-E will focus on retaining the share in this market.
IT Voice : What is the market that you envision for TVSE, and what are the steps that you have taken to streamline your India growth?
Mr. Jose Anthony : TVS-E is Indian Family brand Company of TVS Group, we operate in 450 towns and we exited last year with 40% market share and we will maximize the opportunity of DMPs in PAN India.
IT Voice : What changes have you introduced to your product portfolio?
Mr. Jose Anthony : The Company is under transformation and the we are focusing on our POS products and range for India market.
IT Voice : Social media and mobile cameras are two of the major factors impacting the printing business. How are you dealing with the new trends?
Mr. Jose Anthony : Our DMP Printers will cater to the SMB & large enterprises who predominantly use DMP for office purposes and Home segment is very minimal target customer for us and we are not majorily affected by these new trends.
IT Voice : What is your outlook for the office printing segment?
Mr. Jose Anthony : There is shift in the market with the changing trends in the technology and we forsee a consumption drop in the office printing segment and price competitive is forcing our margins down in the DMP segment. We will focus on profitable business in this segment.
IT Voice : Finally, what is TVSE doing or planning to do to fight counterfeits?
Mr. Jose Anthony : We are launching consumer awareness program and leveraging our services network to educate the customers to stop using counterfeits.
