TCS initiates recruitment for entry-level positions in Ninja, Digital, and Prime categories

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has commenced its recruitment process for freshers, offering opportunities across three categories: Ninja, Digital, and Prime. This development brings hope for engineering graduates amidst a slowdown in hiring by IT companies due to sluggish demand.

According to a report by Moneycontrol, interested candidates must apply by April 10, with tests scheduled for April 26. TCS is inviting applications from BTech, BE, MCA, MSc, and MS graduates from the batch of 2024.

The recruitment drive focuses on three categories: Ninja, Digital, and Prime. The Ninja category offers an annual salary package of Rs 3.36 lakh for various roles, while the Digital and Prime categories offer Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9-11.5 lakh per annum, respectively. However, the exact number of positions available has not been specified.

This hiring initiative follows TCS’s announcement in January that the recruitment process for freshers for the financial year 2024-25 had commenced, with campus visits planned. Milind Lakkad, TCS’s Chief HR Officer, expressed enthusiasm among freshers, hinting at a substantial number of hires without disclosing specific figures.

The IT sector witnessed a significant decline in hiring, primarily attributed to excessive recruitment during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent demand slowdown.
