Swipe Elite Plus Handset unveiled @ Rs 6,999

Swipe has launched its new smartphone, the Swipe Elite swipe_elite_plus_screenPlus. Priced at Rs 6999, the handset will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting June 6.

The Swipe Elite Plus features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display of 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The display is claimed to reproduce 40% more colours as compared to a regular LCD display. Pixel density stands at around 440 ppi.

Under-the-hood, the Elite Plus packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. Users will also receive 100GB of cloud storage through SwipeBox.

As for the camera, the Swipe Elite Plus includes a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The handset supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and Micro USB (with OTG) for connectivity. There’s also a 3050mAh battery rounding up the spec sheet.

One of the key highlights of the Elite Plus is its ergonomic arc design. It’s made with Jaquard Polycarbonate body and has a metal frame. For audiophiles, the smartphone features speakers that are said to offer ‘superior acoustics’. It also comes with a dedicated amplifier.

In April, Swipe launched its Elite Note smartphone. Priced at Rs 7,999, the handset has a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6735 processor. There’s also 3GB RAM and a 13MP autofocus rear camera, along with a 5MP front-facing snapper. Inbuilt storage stands at 16GB and can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phone has a 3000mAh battery.
