Skype Has Been Working Fine Now

Skype, the telecommunications application software owned by Microsoft recently faced a major service skype_Logo_ITVoicedisruption. Though, the company was quick to acknowledge the problem through a post, it took almost a day for the online telephone and video service provider to resolve the issue.

some users complained that they were not able to make calls. In spite of being logged in, their settings showed them and their contacts offline. The issue didn’t only trigger the calling feature but affected the overall user experience. Skype account holders were not able to able to access their account and users who were already logged in were not able to make any changes on the account.

While Skype was down for many users, people across the world expressed their dissatisfaction through Facebook and Twitter. Skype too, took to the micro blogging site to keep their users updated. “We’re pleased to say we’ve found and are now rectifying the Skype problem you may have had today,” it wrote.

Skype for Business wasn’t impacted by the issue as the team “worked quickly to put in measures to re-balance the traffic load so that normal Skype service could resume,” said Gurdeep Pall, Microsoft corporate vice president for Lync and Skype Engineering. The problem was fixed around midnight.
